Software does not sit still. Certificates expire, plugins get exploited, a payment gateway changes its API on a Friday. A maintenance retainer is the difference between hearing about that from your monitoring and hearing about it from a customer.
Almost every emergency we are called into was preventable and cheap to prevent. An out-of-date plugin, an SSL certificate nobody renewed, a backup that had been failing for four months while still sending success emails. Maintenance is unglamorous and it is the least expensive work we do.
Core, plugin, theme and dependency updates applied on staging first, then live. Security advisories for your stack tracked so an urgent one is applied in hours rather than at the next scheduled window.
Uptime, certificate expiry, disk, and the specific pages that must not break - checkout, login, contact. Alerts go to a human on call, not only to a dashboard nobody is looking at.
Scheduled, off-server, and periodically restored to prove they work. A backup that has never been restored is an assumption, not a backup.
Hardening, firewall and WAF rules, malware scanning, and recovery if a site has already been compromised - including the part most cleanups skip: finding how they got in and closing it.
A monthly allowance of content edits and small fixes. Most clients use it for the things that otherwise wait months because raising a quote for twenty minutes of work is not worth anyone time.
A conversation about the problem, not a feature list. We ask what happens today, who does it, and what it costs when it goes wrong.
A written scope with phases, what is explicitly out, and a price against each phase. You can take this document to another firm - that is fine, and it means you are comparing like with like.
Fortnightly demos on real data. You see progress in the working thing, not in a percentage on a chart.
Staging first, a rehearsed cutover, and someone watching for the first days. Redirects, certificates and DNS handled by us.
A handover you can act on, and a maintenance option if you want us to keep watching. Not compulsory.
Usually. We start with an audit - hosting, stack, versions, backups, access - and give you a plain report. Occasionally that report says the site is not economical to maintain in its current state, and we will explain why rather than take the retainer anyway.
The site is down, checkout or login is broken, or there is a live security incident. Those get the response time in your agreement. A broken layout on one page is important but it is not the same thing, and pretending otherwise makes the promise meaningless.
If it is hosted with us, entirely. If it is elsewhere, we work with what their access allows and will tell you where that limits us.
Start a chat and say it is a live incident. Cleanup follows the same order every time: contain, find the entry point, clean, restore, close the hole, then watch it.
Everything we build can be deployed straight onto AstraCloud hosting or a VPS, in Nepal or internationally, with SSL, backups and the control panel already configured. You are not obliged to host with us, and the price of the build does not change either way.
Tell us what the problem is and we will tell you what it takes to fix it - including when the answer is that you do not need us.
No form to fill in - the chat opens in this window and reaches our team directly.
